I’m a few days late to the party on this one but Delta has opened its brand new Delta One Lounge in Los Angeles. The Atlanta based carrier has brought its most premium lounge option to its hub at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
The new Delta One Lounge is located next to the Delta Sky Club in Terminal 3. With seating for almost 200 passengers, and a direct connection to the Delta One check-in, it provides a private experience from the curb to the lounge.
The new lounge is inspired by the Southern California landscape. Sunset hues, complemented by leather and walnut accents, adorn the Icon Bar while green quartzite and onyx are present on the back bar.
While some spaces in the lounge atre bright and airy, other spaces in the lounge take inspiration from art deco, modernism, and old Hollywood. The wood paneled walls feel like a nice, inviting library instead of an airline lounge.
One of my favorite aspects of the Delta Sky Club in Terminal 3 is the terrace overlooking the ramp. It has great views of the airline’s operations at the airport so I was excited to see a terrace was included in this new lounge. It includes seating for 26 and features accent elements by Delta One luxury brand partner Missoni.
A dedicated wellness space is available for passengers, featuring eight private pods with zero gravity and full body massage chairs. A menu of wellness-themed drinks is available to nourish and revive passengers prior to their flights. Product samples are also available from Grown Alchemist.
The elevated lounge experience carries over to the dining available in the lounge. Dining is available at every seat with servers available to assist passengers. The lounge is expected to feature a rotating menu including crispy duck tacos, pan-roasted salmon and roasted corn pizza. Also, if you’re a sushi fan, the lounge in Los Angeles features the only year-round sushi bar in the airline’s lounge network.
If the sushi isn’t your thing, the Delta One Lounge offers a rotating selection of location-themed Bento boxes, featuring items from Paris, Tokyo, and Boston. All of which are Delta One routes from Los Angeles. Cocktail fans can also sample the “Destination Libations” options with cocktails inspired by Delta One locations named after airport codes.
Delta notes that all food and beverage in the lounge is designed for attendant service so, once you find a seat, you can sit back and relax. Hopefully this lounge will have less issues with crowding compared to the new Delta One Lounge New York-JFK.

While the new space looks gorgeous, most Delta passengers won’t see the inside of it anytime soon. Access to the lounge is reserved for:
- Same-day departing or arriving Delta One ticketed passengers (i.e., seated in the Delta One class of service);
- Delta 360o Members departing or arriving on a same-day ticket in Delta First Class;
- Same-day departing or connecting flights operated by the following Delta partners in their respective first and business class cabins specified below:
- Air France La Premiere and Business Class (Long-Haul);
- LATAM Premium Business Class;
- KLM Business Class;
- Korean Air First Class and Prestige Class; and
- Virgin Atlantic Upper Class.
The lounge is currently open between 4:15a-11:30p daily.
Summary
Delta just opened its newest Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This is the second of three planned Delta One Lounges with the first already open at New York-JFK and a third planned for Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). While the lounge looks nice, the access requirements are strict so I won’t be making a visit anytime soon. However, if you have the chance to visit, it looks like a gorgeous space.
