Delta Air Lines announced its largest winter ski schedule ever today with more flights from Delta hubs in Atlanta (ATL), Los Angeles (LAX), Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP), and Salt Lake City (SLC). Customers looking to hit the slopes will have many options as the airline has boosted seat capacity by nearly 10% over 2023.
Los Angeles: Delta’s West Coast Gateway to the Mountains
As part of this winter’s schedule increase, Delta is adding two new routes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with daily nonstop service to Jackson Hole, Wyoming (JAC) and new Saturday-only service to Sun Valley, Idaho (SUN).
In addition to the airline’s year-round flights between Los Angeles and Aspen, it is bringing back seasonal service to Bozeman (BZN) and Vail (EGE) with daily flights.
Flying Delta through Los Angeles is a much improved experience thanks to the opening of the airline’s state-of-the-art Sky Way at LAX. The 1.2 million square foot Terminal 3 features 27 gates and one of my favorite Delta Sky Clubs in the system.
Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, had this to say about the improved flight schedule this winter:
“Delta is creating essential connections from our growing hub and state-of-the-art facilities in Los Angeles and across the U.S. to bring premier ski resorts within easy reach this winter. With our latest winter schedule, customers have more choices than ever, with up to 190 weekly flights to places our customers want to fly to most, paired with the premium services and amenities our customers always enjoy.”
Joe Esposito, SVP Network Planning

More Winter Wonders from Minneapolis
The west coast isn’t the only place seeing expanded service. Delta is doubling down on service between their Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) hub and popular winter destinations. The airline will resume service to Steamboat Springs, Colorado (HDN) and Jackson Hole, with daily service this winter. This is an expansion from the Saturday-only service the airline operated in 2023.
Customers traveling through can spend time in Delta’s newest Sky Club at the airport, located in Concourse G. Flights between Minneapolis and the mountains will operate using the following frequency this winter:

Atlanta and Salt Lake City: Year Round Mountain Gateways
From Delta’s largest hub in Atlanta, travelers can fly to Bozeman and Aspen year round, accompanied by seasonal service to Vail, Steamboat Springs, Montrose/Telluride, Colorado (MTJ), and Jackson Hole. Bozeman gets a second, daily frequency giving passengers more options when heading west.
Salt Lake City, Delta’s gateway to the Mountain West, has multiple daily flights to Bozeman, Jackson Hole, and Sun Valley. The airline has been growing at a rapid pace in Salt Lake City, opening a massive 28,000 square foot Sky Club to accompany the new terminal. I’ve had the opportunity to fly through Salt Lake City many times, including a recent trip to Park City, and always find it to be enjoyable, though you may find yourself walking a ways.
