Chase announced today that its popular Sapphire Lounge concept is opening another location at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). As reported by the Los Angeles Times, the new lounge will be located in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) across from Gate 148.
The new lounge will measure 9,234 square feet upon completion, though an opening date has not yet been announced. From those that have seen the renderings, the lounge is expected to feature sweeping views of the tarmac (which should make for some great spotting thanks to the wide variety of airlines that serve LAX), a waterfall style chandelier, and a granite and wood appointed bar.

Chase Sapphire Lounge Footprint
Chase opened their first U.S. Sapphire Lounge in Boston in May of last year, though the smaller Chase Sapphire Terrace in Austin has been open since March of 2023. Chase has rapidly expanded with lounges in New York (both LaGuardia (LGA) and JFK) and Washington-Dulles (IAD) now open.
In addition to the new LAX lounge announced today, five others are also in the works in Las Vegas (LAS), Philadelphia (PHL), Phoenix (PHX), and San Diego (SAN). Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) is also expected to get a lounge though details haven’t been finalized.
Chase Sapphire Lounge Access
In order to access Chase Sapphire Lounges in the United States, travelers must have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card and the Priority Pass membership that accompanies it ($550 annual fee). If you have a Priority Pass membership from another card, like the American Express Platinum, you can enter a Sapphire Lounge once per calendar year at no cost.
There are currently no Priority Pass lounges at LAX so this is a major win for Priority Pass members.
