We Remember: September 11, 2001

Today marks the 24th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks that occurred in New York, Washington D.C. and rural Pennsylvania. I was eight years old at the time and the events of that day are some of the most vivid from my childhood. President Bush addressed the nation from Barksdale Air Force Base, five miles from my elementary school.

With this site focused on travel and aviation topics, I’m borrowing a tradition from Brett Snyder, AKA CrankyFlier, and publishing the names of the flight crews killed on this day 24 years ago.
