W Hotels has officially entered the adults-only all-inclusive space with the grand opening of W Punta Cana, Adult All-Inclusive. This is the brand’s first adult all-inclusive location worldwide.
The First All Inclusive W Hotel Opens in the Dominican Republic
Set on the pristine beaches of the Dominican Republic, the new resort reimagines what an all-inclusive can be, blending W’s signature bold design and dynamic energy with the laid-back luxury of Punta Cana’s tropical backdrop.

George Fleck, Senior Vice President and Brand Leader, W Hotels, said this about the new property:
“W Punta Cana marks a bold and exciting evolution for W Hotels as the brand enters the all-inclusive space with the same tuned-in spirit and magnetic energy that defines the brand. This isn’t just another resort – it’s the brand reimagining the concept entirely, where everything from elevated dining to immersive experiences reserved for adults only are thoughtfully curated and included. Set against the stunning natural backdrop of Punta Cana’s pristine beaches and lush landscape, this destination is the perfect location for the brand to debut its first-ever all-inclusive. W Punta Cana is turning the traditional model on its head – delivering luxury through detail-driven design, exceptional service, and story-worthy experiences that immerse guests in local culture through the lens of W Hotels. Guests will now find all the things they love about the brand – insider access, a dynamic atmosphere, the unmistakable sound, and vibrant design – now seamlessly woven into this new experience. This resort is a statement that all-inclusive can be anything but expected. It’s about creating stories worth sharing by living in the moment and embracing the now – in true W Hotels style.”
Brian King, President of Marriott International, Caribbean and Latin America, added:
“W Hotels has been breaking the mold since 1998 – and we’re just getting started. Now, we’re dialing up the bold and bringing our iconic edge to the Dominican Republic with the debut of W Punta Cana. Tucked between lush jungle and the electric blues of the Caribbean Sea, W Punta Cana is everything W Hotels is known for – daring design, unexpected moments, and a totally new spin on all-inclusive luxury. This isn’t just a resort – it’s a vibe, a movement, a new way to travel. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created and the incredible local community and partners who helped make it happen. We’re not following trends – we’re creating them.”
The opening marks a milestone for W Hotels as it expands into the luxury all-inclusive market, with additional properties planned in Mexico’s Playa del Carmen and Costa Mujeres by 2029. For travelers seeking a destination that fuses daring design, cultural immersion, and a fresh spin on all-inclusive, W Punta Cana is the new standard.
W Punta Cana Property Overview
The property features 340 spacious guest rooms and suites measuring at least 700 square feet, all with king-size beds, soaking tubs, and many with swim-up or private pools. Guests can expect the brand’s signature style throughout, from design inspired by larimar and colonial heritage to lush landscaping with endemic flora that feels more like a modern village than a traditional resort.

Food and drink take center stage with 12 restaurants, bars, and lounges, including a global street food–inspired food hall, a chic chef-driven Caribbean concept, a noodle bar, and a speakeasy fueled by vinyl and craft cocktails. Anchoring the resort are the WET Deck with an 80-meter infinity pool and the lively Taman Beach Club, where curated beats and cocktails carry the vibe from day to night.

Wellness seekers will find sanctuary at the AWAY Spa, offering treatments inspired by local healing traditions, along with a salt room, sauna, and 24/7 FIT gym. Entertainment is equally curated, with live music residencies, sound baths, rooftop sessions, and cultural collaborations that showcase both local and global talent.
For those looking beyond the resort, the Whatever/Whenever team can arrange yacht charters, national park excursions, or private beach adventures. And with 14,000 square feet of event space, W Punta Cana also sets the stage for inventive gatherings and celebrations.
Omar Rivera, General Manager, W Punta Cana, said this about the property:
“At W Punta Cana, we set out to create a destination that’s as rich in cultural connection as it is in world-class amenities. This is a space for the curious, the creative, and the culturally connected. Every corner of the resort invites guests to explore, engage, and experience the Dominican Republic in a way that’s intriguing, elevated, and often unexpected.”
Rooms at the property are currently available for booking via Marriott.com or the Marriott Bonvoy app.
Summary
W Hotels has opened its first all-inclusive adults-only resort in the Dominican Republic. W Punta Cana boasts 340 guest rooms, twelve food and beverage outlets, and plenty of other amenities to keep guests satisfied. This is the first of three all-inclusive properties for the brand and I’m interested to see how this concept is received over time.
