United Opens its 4th United Club Location in Denver

This week, United Airlines officially unveiled its new United Club location at Denver International Airport (DEN). The space is located on the west side of Concourse B and will compliment the existing United Club lounges at the airport.

Denver is the home of United’s fastest growing hub so it is great to see the carrier investing heavily in its lounge space at the airport. The airline also has United Club locations in Concourse A West, Concourse B East, and a United Club Fly location near Gate B60.

The new United Club is located in the same location as the previous United Club in Concourse B West. The entrance is located near Gate B32 and the lounge space itself is located on the two floors above the concourse.

The new United Club in Denver measures in at 33,000 square feet and is spread across two levels. This is common in Denver as all of the other full service clubs are configured in a similar fashion. The opening of the new United Club Denver Concourse B West brings the carrier up to roughly 100,000 square feet of lounge space at the airport.

The club has space for more than 600 passengers with two bar areas offering premium drinks as well as two buffet dining spaces. Aaron McMillan, United’s Managing Director of Hospitality Programs, said this about the new lounge:

“Passengers will love our newest United Club in Denver, giving them more space, premium amenities and a sense of place during their travel journey. As Denver’s most-flown airline, United’s expansion and renovation of United Club locations are an important part of continuing to improve our customer experience here.”

The lounge design is inspired by summertime in Colorado, which contrasts with the United Club on the east side of Concourse B, which feels like a ski lodge. Regional materials were used in the buildout of the space and much of the art was locally sourced from Denver and the surrounding area. Photos of the lounge space are included below.

In addition to the new United Club, the carrier is also working on a new Polaris lounge in Denver. A first for the airport, this will be the last remaining domestic gateway for United to get the Polaris treatment.

My Thoughts

I’m really impressed with the design elements that United has been introducing in its lounges over the last few years. This is especially true in Denver where the carrier has opened a series of stunning spaces.

The opening of the new United Club in Concourse B West should provide some much needed relief at the airport where the airline operates upwards of 550 daily flights. While I’m partial to the ski-lodge feel in Concourse B East, the photos of this lounge look fantastic and I look forward to visiting on my next trip through Denver.

If you’ve had the chance to visit the new lounge in person, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Summary

United has just opened a new United Club at Denver International Airport. The new lounge is located in the same space as the previous United Club in Concourse B West. Spanning 33,000 square feet, the opening of this United Club brings the carrier to roughly 100,000 square feet of lounge space at the airport.
