United Offering Free Copies of Final Hemispheres Magazine Issue

United Airlines is giving away free copies of the final issue of Hemispheres Magazine. The airline has made 50,000 extra copies of the magazine’s final issue and is making them available to MileagePlus members via the MileagePlus Exclusives shop.

News of this broke a few days ago but I refrained from posting at the time as I was never able to get the site to work. Finally, I managed to get all the way to checkout this morning and my copy of the magazine is on its way!

We mentioned last month that the airline was planning to get rid of the paper version of its inflight magazine, though we didn’t have much information beyond that. I assumed that August would be the last issue based on the timing however, we get one more month with something to read onboard.

United is the last of the big 3 U.S. carriers to have an inflight magazine after Delta eliminated its magazine during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic and American cut AmericanWay in June of 2021.

Get Your Copy of the Final Issue of Hemispheres Magazine from United

Getting your copy is fairly simple (if the website is working). Log into MileagePlus Exclusives using your MileagePlus credentials. Select your quantity from the dropdown menu (NOTE: there is a limit of one per customer), and click ‘RSVP Now’.

Once this has been completed you will receive a confirmation email at the email address on file. Please note that the magazine will be shipped to the address on your MileagePlus account so double check that before purchasing. You are unable to change the shipping address on the MileagePlus Exclusives site.

United notes that the magazines are expected to ship sometime in late September, so you’ll have to wait a few weeks before you can get your hands on your copy.

While the airline notes that quantities are limited, there are still more than 48,000 available at the time of this writing.
