An incident occurred at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) earlier this afternoon as two passenger jets clipped wings while taxiing.

Information on the incident, which was first reported by Adam Tuss, a transportation reporter at NBC Washington, is still limited. However, we do know that the incident involved two American Eagle aircraft.
According to the FAA, the wingtip of American Airlines Flight 5490 struck American Airlines Flight 4522 on a taxiway at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport around 12:45 p.m. local time on Thursday, April 10. Flight 5490, a Bombardier CRJ900 (N592NN), was headed to Charleston International Airport in South Carolina. Flight 4522, an Embraer E175 (N422YX), was headed to JFK International Airport in New York.
Aviation incidents, especially at Reagan National Airport, have been under scrutiny in recent months after an American Eagle CRJ-700 collided with an Army Blackhawk helicopter on approach to the airport earlier this year.
It appears that there were no injuries as a result of the accident. The plane had five members of the House of Representatives onboard the flight bound for New York-JFK; Nick LaLota, Grace Meng, Adriano Espaillat, Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer. We will update this post as more information becomes available.
