Spirit Airlines Unveils New Inflight Menu to Align With “More Fly” Branding

Spirit Airlines has just unveiled its new inflight menu which has been upgraded to better align with the carrier’s “More Fly” branding.

Spirit Airlines has changed its inflight menu to align with its new branding campaign.
Spirit has changed its inflight menu to align with its new branding campaign.

Spirit Airlines Upgrades its Onboard Menu

The new Spirit Airlines menu introduces 12 new items and combos which includes sweet and savory snacks along with and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Spirit has the following items available depending on the fare class booked:

  • Go Big: premium snacks and drinks are included
  • Go Comfy: small snack and non-alcoholic drink are included with the option to purchase additional snacks and drinks
  • Go Savvy and Go: snacks and drinks are available for purchase

The revamp of the onboard menu comes as Spirit has added extra-legroom seating and updated its Free Spirit loyalty program in an effort to become more premium. Dana Shapir Alviene, Senior Vice President of Inflight and Airport Experience at Spirit Airlines, said this about the updated menu:

“We know our Guests have great taste when they choose to fly Spirit, and now we’re giving them delicious new choices to add more flavor and value to their adventure. Plus, Guests who choose a premium experience with Go Big can enjoy complimentary options to sip and snack on.”

While the Florida based ultra-low-cost carrier doesn’t have the most robust onboard menu, I will give them credit for creativity. To this day, Spirit is the only airline I’ve ever flown that served Cup Noodles to passengers onboard. While the sweet chili flavor that was served on my flight is gone, Twisted Noodles Veggie Ramen has taken its place.

The airline does note that it does not offer any special dietary meals for passengers, though the menu selection has a range of options that should meet most dietary requirements. To see the full new menu, click here.

Summary

Spirit has just unveiled its new onboard menu which is designed around new onboard bundles and the carrier’s revamped branding and product offerings. While I wouldn’t call the new offerings drastically different from the old ones, there are plenty of options to keep passengers fed while in the air.
