Scandinavian Airlines, also known as SAS, announced today that it is adding Starlink wi-fi across its entire fleet. SAS is the latest airline to announce that it will feature Starlink onboard.

In the announcement, the airline stated that Starlink will begin appearing on its aircraft towards the end of 2025. The airline plans to offer the service for free to members of its EuroBonus frequent flyer program.
SAS, which is the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, flies to some extremely remote areas and the rollout of Starlink will allow the airline to provide wi-fi service across oceans and in other challenging regions where reliable service hasn’t been possible in the past.
Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS, had this to say about the new service:
“By introducing this new technology, we’re connecting our passengers to the world like never before. We’re putting an end to frustrating interruptions and ushering in a new era of connectivity. Whether flying over the Atlantic or the North Sea, our passengers can now count on a connection that is as stable and seamless as it is fast. This is about giving our customers the best and ensuring SAS remains synonymous with excellence.”
While no timeline has been given for the complete rollout of Starlink, the airline does note that passengers will enjoy connectivity from gate to gate, ensuring that travelers will be able to stay connected for the duration of their flight.
Summary
While details are limited, SAS is planning to roll out Starlink wi-fi fleetwide beginning later in 2025. No timeline for completion has been given but the new service will allow for greater connectivity onboard. SAS EuroBonus members will be able to access the wi-fi free of charge.
