Royal Jordanian is Launching Flights to Dallas

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Royal Jordanian, the flag carrier of Jordan, announced the launch of nonstop service between DFW and Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman.

Royal Jordanian Adds Year-Round Flights to Dallas

Royal Jordanian is planning to serve DFW 4x weekly with service operating year round. Service will launch in May 2026 using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft featuring 270 seats in a two cabin layout (24 Business Class and 246 Economy seats). Tickets for the route are currently available on the carrier’s website.

Chris McLaughlin, DFW’s Chief Executive Officer, said this about the new route:

“Welcoming Royal Jordanian to DFW is another exciting step in growing our global network. This new nonstop connection to Amman is a first for North Texas and will expand our reach into the Middle East and further grow DFW’s role as a key international gateway.”

Royal Jordanian is a member of the OneWorld alliance along with American Airlines and many other carriers like Alaska Airlines and British Airways. With DFW being American’s largest hub, and one of the largest airline hubs anywhere in the world, there will be plenty of connectivity on both sides.

DFW Continues to Grow Its International Footprint

While it has long been American’s largest hub, DFW traditionally didn’t have a ton of international service outside of a few routes to Europe and Asia. Historically the airline has connected passengers through international gateways in Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and Philadelphia.

In recent years, we’ve seen many new carriers, most affiliated with OneWorld, launch service to DFW. Cathay Pacific, Fiji Airways, EVA Air, and others have all announced new service recently. To keep up with demand, DFW Airport is currently constructing Terminal F to expand its international capacity. The first phase is expected to open in 2027.

EVA Air is planning to launch flights 5x weekly between Taipei and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport beginning in November 2025.

It is always fun to see new routes to my home state and, having lived in Dallas and flown through DFW many times, maybe I’ll find my way onboard one of these new routes soon.

Summary

Royal Jordanian, the flag carrier of Jordan, will launch 4x weekly flights between Dallas and Amman beginning in May 2026. The route will operate year round using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
