On a recent trip to Charlotte, I had the opportunity to stop by the Delta Sky Club for a quick visit. The club, which is located in Concourse A at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), is one of the newest in the system, having opened in December 2024.
Delta Sky Club Charlotte Location
The Delta Sky Club in Charlotte is located at the far end of Concourse A, closest to the Delta gates. The lounge is located one level up from the concourse, near Gate A32, and can be accessed via escalators or the nearby elevator.

Once you reach the top of the escalator, the entrance to the Sky Club is directly to the right.

Delta Sky Club Charlotte Hours of Operation
The Delta Sky Club at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) is open between 5:00a and 8:00p daily.
Delta Sky Club Charlotte Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for Delta Sky Clubs are some of the most complex ones out there. The easiest way to enter the lounge is by using a qualifying American Express credit card (including the AmEx Platinum and Delta Reserve cards) or by having a Sky Club membership and a same day Delta boarding pass.
Currently, Delta and American Express cardholders who don’t hit $75,000 in spend during a calendar year will be limited on the number of entries per year in an effort to reduce crowding. You can find the full list of entry requirements here.
I accessed the lounge on arrival in Charlotte using my American Express Platinum Card and my boarding pass from my Atlanta to Charlotte flight. I checked in using the available kiosks and in seconds I was admitted into the lounge.
Delta Sky Club Charlotte Layout
The Delta Sky Club in Charlotte spans 14,000 square feet and is arranged in a horseshoe shape. The lounge has seating for 246 people, making it a fairly sizeable lounge for an outstation. For comparison, this is roughly the same size as the Delta Sky Club in Terminal 4A at New York-JFK.
Upon entering the lounge, the only way to go is to the left. The lounge wraps around the concourse atrium. Guests are greeted by a long hallway that has plenty of single seats on the left as well as a small lounge area with a sofa to the right.

At the end of the hallway the lounge opens up to the right with two distinct rooms that offer a variety of seating. From countertop seating to cafe tables, lounge chairs, and booths, there was plenty of space for guests to spread out.

On the opposite side of the wall along the entry hall is the quiet business area. This space is purposely secluded from the rest of the lounge to ensure peace and quiet for those looking to get some work done.
Private workstations, seating nooks, communal tables, and countertop seating with views of the airfield are available in this portion of the lounge. During my visit, which was on a Saturday, this space was completely empty.

This space had glass walls overlooking the tarmac and the terminal, which provided a good amount of natural light.

In the center of the lounge is the large bar area. This space was the focal point of the lounge and had a fun, floral design. In addition to the bar seating, there is a mix of high top cafe tables and lounge seating available in this area.

While most new Sky Clubs have an outdoor Sky Deck space, that wasn’t possible here in Charlotte. Instead, the airline added a space that is open to the terminal below, located through a door near the bar.
This “outdoor” space has individual chairs and tables on the left side while the right side has a mix of lounge chairs, shared booths, and multiple soundproof phone booths for those looking to conduct calls. In total, there are six of these throughout the lounge.

Delta Sky Club Charlotte Food and Beverage
The Charlotte Sky Club has a single, large, buffet featuring the standard Sky Club fare. There was three types of snack mix, a charcuterie station, a small salad bar, two soups, four hot dishes, sandwiches, wraps, and desserts.

A non-alcoholic beverage station is available adjacent to the buffet.

The bar had a cool design and had the standard Sky Club offerings. Standard beers, wines, and liquors were complimentary while premium options were available for an additional fee.

Delta Sky Club Charlotte Atmosphere
My visit to the Sky Club in Charlotte was fantastic from start to finish. The space is absolutely massive given the size of Delta’s operation at the airport and felt empty on a saturday afternoon.
The staff was extremely friendly and I spent most of my visit at the bar area chatting with the staff. You could tell that they know their regular guests and are also happy to have a beautiful new club to show off to passengers.
While I don’t find myself traveling to Charlotte often, especially on Delta, this new Sky Club is gorgeous and I’d be happy to spend time here before my next Delta flight from the queen city.
Summary
The Delta Sky Club at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is a fantastic new lounge space. At roughly 14,000 square feet the lounge is extremely large for an outstation, especially when you consider the scale of Delta’s operation in Charlotte.
While I don’t find myself flying to Charlotte often, especially on Delta, I’d happily visit this lounge again.
I have to agree that this is one of the nicest skyclubs in the system right now and plenty of space to actually enjoy the reason to be in a club. In particular, the soundproof booths for conference calls are outstanding with customized lighting and ventilation.
