Qatar Airways announced today that it is expanding service to and from the Americas with an increase in flights from Doha’s Hamad International Airport (DOH) to Toronto and São Paulo.
Qatar Airways is Increasing Service to Toronto and São Paulo
The Qatari flag carrier will expand service between Doha and Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) with five weekly flights beginning June 19, 2025 while São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) will see 17 weekly flights beginning June 25, 2025.
Qatar Airways began flying between Doha and Toronto back in December 2024 with 3x weekly flights. Loads on the flight must be good for the carrier to expand service and it even plans to further upgrade the route to daily service this coming winter.
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, had this to say about the increase in service:
“We launched our services to Toronto Pearson Airport less than six months ago and have seen a strong response in the market. We are proud to announce the increase in flights to meet the growing demand for our award-winning travel experience. At the same time, we are expanding in South America with additional flights to São Paulo, a key gateway and strategic hub for business and leisure travel. These expansions underscore our commitment to providing seamless global connectivity through Hamad International Airport.”
Qatar Airways flights to Toronto will operate on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays this summer on the following schedule:

Qatar Airways currently operates 2x daily flights between Doha and São Paulo and is adding a third flight which will operate 3x weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The additional flight will operate on the following schedule:

Qatar Airways passengers can connect onwards from São Paulo to 55 destinations in Latin America via the airline’s partnership with LATAM Airlines.
Summary
Qatar Airways is increasing flights across the Americas this summer, adding two more weekly flights between Doha and Toronto as well as three more weekly flights between Doha and São Paulo. Toronto will see another boost in flying this winter as the Qatari flag carrier increases to daily service on the route.
