It just got easier to travel between the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex and the Texas Hill Country. Ladybird Jet, a new, semi-private, air shuttle service is launching flights between Dallas and Fredericksburg over Labor Day weekend.

Ladybird Jet is Launching Flights Between Dallas and Fredericksburg
Ladybird Jet, which bills itself as a premium regional air shuttle service, is launching with 2x weekly flights between Fredericksburg’s Gillespie County Airport (T82) and Addison Airport (ADS) in Dallas.
The airline will operate flights from private terminals on Thursdays and Sundays, with the first flights beginning over Labor Day weekend. According to the airline, the service is built around providing top-tier convenience; passengers can arrive just minutes before takeoff, skip TSA lines, and enjoy concierge-level support.
Devon Perry, Co-Founder of Ladybird Jet, said this about the company’s launch:
“Ladybird Jet was born out of a need for efficient regional travel without the hassle of large commercial airports. Michele Wilkinson and I created this service to blend hospitality, precision, and time efficiency for our passengers.”
While the airline is named Ladybird Jet, it will operate a Pilatus PC-12 on the Dallas-Fredericksburg route. The aircraft, a single engine turboprop, has seating for eight and prices start at $1,397 round trip. Tickets for the route are currently available at LadybirdJet.com.

In addition to the Dallas-Fredericksburg route, Ladybird Jet is planning to launch service between Fredericksburg and Houston in the near future. The company also offers bespoke private charters and curated Wine Flights to the Texas Hill Country and Napa Valley.
Fredericksburg is Experiencing a Premium Boom
Over the past few years the Texas Hill Country, and Fredericksburg especially, are experiencing a premium boom. As an Austin resident, the Texas Hill Country is an easy vacation destination for us and Mrs. ATX and I took our last mini-vacation before the birth of our son there.
Once a sleepy little town, Fredericksburg has experienced a boom in recent years, especially on the premium travel front. Earlier this year, it was revealed that the first Waldorf Astoria property in the State of Texas was coming to the city. With the premium growth in the city, I’m sure that Ladybird Jet will find solid demand between Dallas and Fredericksburg.

Summary
Ladybird Jet is launching 2x weekly flights between Fredericksburg’s Gillespie County Airport (T82) and Addison Airport (ADS) in Dallas. The flights will operate from private terminals using Pilatus PC-12 turboprop aircraft with seating for eight passengers. Given the increase in premium accommodations in the Texas Hill Country, I could see the airline carving out a nice niche here.
