Holiday Spirit: Spirit Airlines Outfits Aircraft with a Giant Sweater

Spirit Airlines is getting into the holiday spirit. The Florida based carrier has outfitted one of its aircraft with a unique livery this holiday season.

Spirit Unveils Special Holiday Livery

Spirit Airlines will operate more than 8,900 flights during the peak holiday travel period. Some of those will be operated by an aircraft with a special livery. Spirit has outfitted one of its Airbus A320s, registration N628NK, with a massive holiday sweater. The sweater has snowmen and gingerbread men designs along with some aviation themed details.

Personally, I’m impressed with the level of detail that the airline put into the design, which is even more impressive close up.

In announcing the new livery, Rana Ghosh, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Spirit Airlines, said this:

“Delivering the best value on travel means even more when it brings families and friends together for the holidays. We can’t wait to welcome our Guests on board this holiday season and continue connecting them to the people and places they love most in 2026.”

In addition to the special livery, Spirit states that it will have more than 3,000 cups of hot chocolate available onboard. I’m no math genius but that works out to roughly one cup per every three flights. I have to assume these will only be catered on specific flights/routes during the holiday travel period.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for the carrier on the publicity side, so it is nice to see the carrier having some fun with things.

Summary

Spirit Airlines is getting into the holiday spirit by outfitting one of its Airbus A320s with a massive holiday sweater. The jet will be deployed across the carrier’s network through the peak holiday travel period.
