The newest Grand Hyatt is now open for business. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley has opened as the first resort in the new Deer Valley East Village. The new property features 436 accommodations, including 55 residences, and multiple restaurants anchoring the first luxury alpine village opened in North America since 1981.
The new property gives guests direct access to Deer Valley Resort. The eastern expansion features 300+ new skiable acres, 20 new runs, and three new chairlifts. This portion of the resort is scheduled to open in December, conditions permitting.
Anthony Duggan, Area Vice President and General Manager of Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, had this to say about the opening of the new property:
“Grand Hyatt Deer Valley proudly welcomes visitors and the local community to experience this transformative moment for both the ski industry and the region. We’re committed to continuing to foster connections with local businesses and organizations, and together, we’ll offer our guests truly authentic experiences that highlight the best that our destination has to offer—from premium accommodations to exceptional dining and unforgettable outdoor adventures.”
Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is the first of ten new Grand Hyatt properties expected to open by 2027. These include Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort & Spa, Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort, and Grand Hyatt Los Cabos.

The property features 381 guest rooms and suites have views of the Rocky Mountains, Heber Valley and Jordanelle Reservoir. All rooms are equipped with modern amenities, including 55-inch flat-screen HDTVs, Nespresso coffee makers (my favorite coffee maker), blackout curtains, individual climate control, hair dryers, bathrobes and mini fridges.
The properties 55 residential suites feature additional amenities including balconies, kitchenettes and fireplaces. Based on the photos provided by the property, I’d find it hard to leave the room if I was staying in one of the suites!
Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Food and Beverage
Executive Chef Viktor Merenyi and legendary New York City Mixologist Frank Maldonado have partnered with Hyatt culinary leader Chef Marc Marrone, to create distinct culinary concepts designed to elevate Park City’s dining scene. The team brings “an innovative, Utah-forward experience” to the resort with plans to focus on local farmers, businesses and families. Five unique food and beverage outlets are present on property, each with a unique atmosphere. Which are described by the property below:
- Remington Hall: The pinnacle of American dining, this signature restaurant offers breakfast, brunch, and dinner with breathtaking views of the Jordanelle Reservoir. Standout dishes include innovative takes on American classics, such as bison tartare with cured egg yolk and truffle aioli, and wild boar bolognese with house ricotta gnocchi, ricotta salata, and aged balsamic.
- The Lounge at Remington Hall: The experience continues seamlessly into the Lounge at Remington Hall, featuring lunch and après-ski programming. Complete with an adjacent sports green room, the lounge showcases an array of elevated bar bites, such as brie and cheddar fondue and caramelized onion dip served with chips and caviar.
- Hidden Ace: The speakeasy-style Hidden Ace offers a curated selection of whisky-forward rustic cocktails like the Western Whistle, which features Alpine Bourbon, apple liqueur, chamomile cordial, fresh lemon juice and egg white, along with elevated bites such as fondue made with local cheeses and grilled bison filet. Enjoy live music and DJ sets in this unique and intimate setting.
- Living Room: Offering the ultimate family après experience, the Living Room features a warm, inviting space anchored by a grand fireplace. Here, guests can enjoy “High Chocolate”—a hot chocolate experience elevated to tea service perfection, complete with tiered trays offering both sweet and savory delights. Savor rich, artisanal hot chocolates alongside s’mores cookies, chocolate snowballs, and gooey baked treats.
- Double Blacks: The resort’s street-side cozy coffee shop powered by Park City Coffee Roasters offers a standout bake shop program featuring house-made croissants, cacio e pepe rolls, beef bone broth consomme or dirty sodas, a Utah favorite.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Amenities
It should come as no surprise that a Grand Hyatt property in one of the country’s top ski destinations has a long list of amenities. The resort has a heated outdoor pool, three oversized hot tubs, and a spacious pool deck offering panoramic mountain views. There is also 30,000 square feet of meeting space and a massive, 10,000 square foot ballroom which is the largest in Park City (please someone invite me to a conference here).
The property has also collaborated with numerous brands like Helly Hansen and Radio Flyer to help guests get out and explore nature. A Camp Hyatt Kids Club is also located on the property and The Spa at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is scheduled to open mid-2025.
Grand Opening
To celebrate the grand opening of the property, Hyatt is offering a few special offers for guests. The Grand Opening Offer is good for qualifying stays between now and March 31, 2025. This offer includes a $200 resort credit and a limited-edition swag bag of cozy goodies valued at $250, including branded “First Tracks” mugs, beanies and scarves. Additional opening offers, such as the Pawsitive Pet Package, Family Package and special offers for Utah residents are also available. All of these offers are available while supplies last and must be booked by March 1, 2025.
World of Hyatt, Hyatt’s loyalty program, is providing members the opportunity to earn 500 Bonus Points for qualifying nights at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley from November 20, 2024 to February 28, 2025 as part of World of Hyatt’s new hotel member offer.

Summary
Park City is one of my favorite ski destinations thanks to the ease of access. Unlike many of the resorts in Colorado, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is only 45 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). With SLC being a major hub for Delta, there are plenty of nonstop options from anywhere in the country.
The new Grand Hyatt Deer Valley looks stunning and has jumped up high on my list of places to stay during my next trip to Utah. One item of note, you’ll want to steer clear of this property if you’re a snowboarder as snowboarding isn’t allowed at Deer Valley Resort.
