While ULCCs are more inclined to add and eliminate routes with shorter notice, Frontier has made a habit of cutting many routes at once. American also recently announced significant cuts to its Austin operation though that was concentrated on a single airport.

Summary

Ultra-low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines is cutting more than thirty routes this fall. The cuts are a mixture between cancellations and seasonal service that won’t return next year. While ULCC cuts are common, Frontier has made some significant cuts here, especially in Cancun, Cleveland, and Philadelphia.
