While this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as parent company Emirates announced it was introducing the service, FlyDubai has just announced plans to install Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet.
FlyDubai Partners With Starlink for Onboard Wi-Fi
FlyDubai has announced plans to rollout fast, free, Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. The Dubai based carrier expects this installation to be relatively quick, with the installation of Starlink on more than 100 aircraft completed by the end of 2026.

FlyDubai’s parent company, Emirates, recently announced that it would install the service on its fleet of Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft, so this announcement doesn’t come as much of a surprise.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at FlyDubai, said this about the partnership:
“We are proud to bring Starlink’s cutting-edge technology to our customers. This agreement marks a major milestone in our ongoing efforts to elevate the travel experience, providing fast, reliable internet access across our growing network. Reliable connectivity has become essential and our partnership with Starlink allows us to meet the evolving expectations of today’s travelers. As we continue to expand our fleet and network, innovation remains at the heart of our strategy.”
Daniel Kerrison, Senior Vice President of Inflight Operations at FlyDubai, added:
“Fast, free internet isn’t just a game changer for our customers, it also gives our crew the real-time data and information they need to deliver an exceptional travel experience. Dubai has established itself as a city that inspires innovation and world-class hospitality, and Starlink is another powerful enabler in our ambition to bring the world to Dubai and share the spirit of our home with the world.”
My Thoughts
I had the opportunity to fly with FlyDubai earlier this year and, while it was a very pleasant flight, the carrier didn’t offer any in-flight connectivity. While the airline typically operates some short routes from Dubai, there are a few long routes in its network.
FlyDubai offers a great in-flight experience, including fully flat beds on its fleet of Boeing 737s. The addition of any sort of in-flight connectivity, let alone Starlink, should be a welcome addition for the carrier’s passengers and make it a much more attractive option for travelers in the future.

Summary
One day after Emirates announced that it would introduce Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet, fellow Dubai based carrier FlyDubai has joined the party. The airline expects to retrofit more than an hundred aircraft with the service by the end of 2026.
