Airline route guru IshrionA is reporting that flights are launching in May 2025 with plans to operate 3x weekly using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

The airline’s A330-200s were transferred to the carrier from Lufthansa and feature three cabins, Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy. Unfortunately, the aircraft layout still features Lufthansa’s old 2-2-2 layout in Business Class. Fortunately, a new product is coming in 2027 which will feature direct aisle access in Business Class as the A330-200s are replaced by A330-300 aircraft.

Once launched, the flight will become the second route between Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Europe, complimenting British Airways’ daily service between the Tennessee capital and London Heathrow Airport (LHR).

Details of the route including timing and pricing have not yet been revealed though passengers will be able to connect beyond Frankfurt onto other Lufthansa Group and partner airline flights.

As someone who lives in Austin, a city with an aviation market very similar to Nashville, I love seeing new international service to mid-sized airports. There is clearly strong demand in the city as British Airways upgraded its London route to larger aircraft featuring the carrier’s wonderful Club Suites.

Summary

Discover Airlines, one of the many airline brands under the Lufthansa Group banner, is planning to launch flights between the carrier’s Frankfurt base and Nashville. The flight is expected to operate 3x weekly utilizing Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Once launched, it will become the 2nd nonstop flight from the Tennessee capital to Europe.
