Delta Air Lines announced today that it is resuming service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) in Tel Aviv. The Atlanta based carrier initially announced that it would return to Israel’s primary airport in June 2024 but ended up postponing the relaunch of that route.

Delta will offer daily flights between the two airports using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft outfitted with 29 Delta One suites, 28 Premium Select seats, 56 Comfort+ seats, and 168 Main Cabin seats. The airline will have roughly 2,000 seats in the New York-Tel Aviv market each week.
The carrier stated that its decision to resume service follows a comprehensive security review, conducted in close coordination with government and private-sector partners. The airline continues to prioritize the safety of its customers and crews and has implemented additional precautions for operations to and from Tel Aviv. Delta initially suspended all service to Tel Aviv after the October 7th terrorist attack in 2023.
Flights are slated to resume on September 1, 2025 and are currently on sale via Delta’s website. Flights will operate on the following schedule:
Flight | Departure | Arrival |
---|---|---|
DL 234 (JFK-TLV) | 3:45p | 9:35a (+1 day) |
DL 235 (TLV-JFK) | 11:50a | 5:05p |
Tickets for the first flight are already sold out in Delta One Business Class. Additionally, Delta passengers can continue to travel to and from Tel Aviv on Skyteam partners KLM and Air France. Delta also has a codeshare agreement with El Al, the flag carrier of Israel, allowing passengers to book flights directly through the Delta website or Fly Delta app.
Summary
Delta is resuming service to Israel for the first time since October 2023. While the carrier initially planned to resume service in June 2024, those flights were postponed. Now, flights between New York JFK and Tel Aviv are set to resume on September 1, 2025.
