Delta Air Lines announced today that all customers flying across Delta’s transatlantic network to Europe, Israel and West Africa will have access to fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi beginning this month.

The Atlanta based carrier announced plans to roll out free Wi-Fi on International flights last year and has rapidly been expanding the offering across its fleet. Delta’s domestic mainline fleet has already been equipped with free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members onboard.
The airline also expects to have free Wi-Fi on flights to South America later this spring. Flights to other international destinations, including transpacific routes, are expected to come online in 2026.
In addition to equipping the entire long-haul fleet with free Wi-Fi, Delta is also investing heavily in its smallest aircraft. Earlier this year, Delta equipped its first Delta Connection aircraft, a CRJ-700, with fast, free Wi-Fi. This is the first of more than 400 Delta Connection aircraft that will be outfitted with the service.

The connectivity upgrades will are also allowing Delta to equip its Boeing 717 fleet with a first-of-its-kind solution that sets a new standard for connectivity in commercial aviation. The solution enables simultaneous dual-network connectivity to deliver the best possible online experience—which means seamless streaming to personal devices and superior performance across Delta’s network.
Looking ahead, Delta will also equip select new A350-1000 and A321neo aircraft with this dual-network connectivity solution by late 2026. This will complement Delta’s next-generation seatback experience, unveiled at CES, which includes intelligent 4K HDR QLED displays, Bluetooth capabilities, and advanced personalization options, all aimed at improving the passenger experience.
Ranjan Goswami, Delta’s Senior Vice President – Customer Experience Design, said this about the state of the Wi-Fi rollout:
“Thanks to the dedication and expertise of Delta teams, we’re making enormous strides in our efforts to bring fast, free Wi-Fi to every aircraft in our fleet—which in turn will transform our aircraft into personalized platforms where customers can connect and engage in meaningful new ways. With the addition of our pioneering dual-network connectivity solution to 717s and forthcoming A350-1000 and A321neo new deliveries, we’re unlocking new possibilities for what it means to stay connected in the air.”
Delta and United have been leading the charge among domestic carriers as they both work to roll out fast, free Wi-Fi for loyalty program members. Both airlines are investing heavily in free Wi-Fi with American continuing to lag behind. As a Delta frequent flyer, I’m excited to see this being rolled out to more aircraft and routes. I can’t wait to have this connectivity fleetwide!
