Delta Introduces Customizable Bag Tags for Medallion Members

Delta Air Lines has introduced new, customizable, bag tags for its Medallion frequent flyers this year. While this isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things, I appreciate the fact that Delta still issues these to passengers.

For 2025, Delta is adding more premium touches to its bag tags. Medallion tags for this year are made of metal and Delta has provided multiple different ways to customize each tag. I love that they’re upgrading the material of these tags for 2025. The plastic ones are flimsy and mine always seem to break off after a few months of heavy travel.

Medallion Members can visit www.deltamedalliontags.com to personalize their bag tags in various ways including adding their name, Million Miler Status, SkyMiles Membership details and more.  I appreciate the fact that the airline is allowing for customization as it gives each traveler the ability to put as much or as little information on their tags as they would like.

One thing that is somewhat surprising to me is the absence of any branding celebrating the airline’s anniversary. Delta turns 100 this year and has introduced special liveries on multiple aircraft. With such a drastic change to their bag tags, I expected we’d see a nod to that milestone.

I know I may be in the minority, but I still have luggage tags on my bags. It makes it easy to spot on the carousel or in an overhead bin. If someone wants to laugh at me for my “brag tags” so be it.

Summary

For 2025, Delta is introducing customizable luggage tags for its Medallion members. The new cards are made of metal and members can choose a variety of information they want displayed on their tag. While not everyone is a fan of these so called “brag tags” I still have them on my bag, at least for the airlines I fly the most.
