In an unfortunate development, Chase Ultimate Rewards and Emirates Skywards are breaking up. As of October 16, 2025, Chase cardholders will no longer be allowed to transfer points to Emirates.

Chase to Emirates Transfers End in October
As I mentioned above, Chase will end transfers to Emirates in October. The loss of Emirates Skywards will drop Chase Ultimate Rewards airline and hotel transfer partners down to thirteen. It will also make Chase the only major transferrable points currencies without the ability to transfer miles to the Dubai based carrier.
While this may be a surprising development to some, others weren’t as surprised by the announcement. As flagged by One Mile at a Time, Emirates has been devaluing the transfer ratios between credit card points and its Skywards miles. American Express Membership Rewards and Citi ThankYou points now transfer at a 5:4 ratio, rather than 1:1.
It seems likely that Chase decided to walk away rather than adjust the transfer ratio. Currently, all Chase transfer partners are set at a 1:1 ratio. Emirates has been making changes to its loyalty program in recent years, including limiting First Class awards to its elite members.

Though this change may have taken some by surprise, the good news is that we’re still two months away from the transfer cutoff date. So, if you’re wanting to book a flight with Emirates, you still have time to get those miles moved before the transfer window closes.
Summary
As of October 16, 2025, Chase cardholders will no longer be able to transfer Ultimate Rewards points to Emirates Skywards. This change comes as Emirates has been devaluing the transfer ratio for cardholders and tightening some redemptions for Skywards members.
