Capital One continues to grow its network of airport lounges, and the latest and greatest is preparing to open at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). This lounge will be located in Terminal 4 and is expected to be the flagship lounge for the company.

New Capital One Lounge Opening at New York-JFK
The new lounge will open to the public on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Strangely this is a holiday which seems like an odd time to open a lounge, especially considering this is a soft opening. According to One Mile at a Time, the lounge will eventually be open 24/7 though it will have limited hours as it ramps up operations. Those hours are:
- 9:00a-9:00p (June 16 – July 2)
- 6:00a-11:00p (July 3-16)
Beginning on July 17, 2025, the lounge will be open to passengers 24/7.
The lounge will be located in Terminal 4, which will complete the credit-card trifecta by having an American Express Centurion Lounge, Chase Sapphire Lounge, and the Capital One Lounge. Specifically, this lounge will be located in the connector between Concourses A and B, close to the entrance to the Delta One Lounge.

What to Expect at the Capital One Lounge New York-JFK
The new lounge is expected to be roughly 13,500 square feet. It will feature Capital One’s signature grab-and-go options for passengers in a rush along with showers, Wi-Fi, power at every seat. There’s even a parents room which is something Mrs. ATX and I really appreciate these days.
On the food and beverage front, the lounge has partnered with many different New York institutions to develop a curated menu unique to the big apple. The menu can be found here.
Based on the photos, the lounge looks like an extremely nice space. It will include some unique spaces including a bodega and a cheesemonger that will offer curated charcuterie boards to guests. Ultimately, I’ll let the photos of the space do the talking.

My Thoughts
The new Capital One lounge at New York-JFK looks fantastic! While it isn’t the best lounge at JFK, or even in Terminal 4, the space is sure to be popular with travelers given the amenities on offer and the hours of operation.
While Capital One has a relatively small lounge footprint when compared to American Express, and to a lesser extent Chase, they have become increasingly popular with passengers. Some may say too popular as Capital One recently announced changes to access for cardholders and their guests.
With changes expected to the American Express Platinum Card and Chase Sapphire Reserve card in the near future, I’m sure many passengers, and JFK flyers, will be re-evaluating their premium credit card strategy going forward. As more lounges continue to open, the Venture X could become more attractive if it keeps churning out lounges like this one.
Summary
The new Capital One Lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will open to passengers in the coming days. The new space looks fantastic and, with the lounge planning to open 24/7 in the next month, this will be a popular option for travelers at JFK’s Terminal 4.
