Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of the all new Andaz Doha. The new property marks the introduction of the Andaz brand to Qatar and becomes the fourth Hyatt brand in the city.

The Andaz Brand Arrives in Doha
The new property is located in West Bay which is a 20 minute drive from Hamad International Airport (DOH) and a short walk from Friday Beach and the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center.
Andaz Doha is outfitted with 256 guestrooms, including 32 suites and 4 Royal suites, as well as 56 residences for those looking for long-term stays. These long term residences range from one to three bedrooms.
Stephen Ansell, Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at Hyatt, said this about the new property:
“We are delighted by the debut of one of our lifestyle brands in Qatar with the opening of Andaz Doha. The property marks an exciting milestone for Hyatt’s growing brand portfolio as it represents the third Andaz branded property in the Middle East.”
Personally, I’m excited to see any expansion of the Andaz brand. Prior to 2024 I was unsure of what the brand even was but, after a fantastic stay at the Andaz Prague, I now seek out the hotel when visiting a new city.
Andaz Doha Guest Rooms
The hotel’s guest rooms, suites and residences have been designed around Qatari traditions and heritage with a modern twist. The 26 story property provides guests a choice between sea or city views are available. Guestrooms also feature large, 100 square foot, bathrooms that have separate bathtubs and showers.

As I mentioned above, the property offers 56 spacious residences which includes 34 one-bedroom residences, 12 two-bedroom residences and 10 three-bedroom residences; offering all the comforts of home in a stylish and luxurious space.
The residences are quite large which isn’t surprising given the fact that Doha is an over the top place. Residences range in size from 1100 to 3300 square feet. Guests staying in the residences can utilize dedicated parking spaces and resident-only elevators, designed to provide privacy and accessibility. Residents have access to the hotel’s amenities including the gym, pool and spa with personalized hotel benefits available to long-term guests.
Andaz Doha Amenities
While all of the on-property restaurants haven’t opened yet, it will eventually include a wide variety of options ranging from South African cooking-inspired concepts to Asian fare:
- The Salt Road Doha (Open Now) is located in the lobby and explores the vital ingredient ‘salt’, one of the earth’s oldest minerals.
- Mr. & Mrs. Hawker (opening in the coming months) will draw from the concept of a Singaporean Hawker Center to feature a market-to-table philosophy. The dining options will also include the only enclosed outdoor terrace in Doha, with city and sea views.
- Mumble Jungle (opening later this year) nods to a rainforest aesthetic to feature an assortment of vibrant cocktails and mocktails, inspired by Afro-Cuban classic creations.

An Andaz Lounge is also located near the lobby on the ground floor of the property.
In addition to the food and beverage options, the property features a full service spa with six treatment rooms, a herbal sauna, steam rooms and multi-sensory showers. A 24 hour fitness center is located in the hotel, outfitted with cardiovascular and weight-training equipment.
Though it isn’t open yet, the hotel will have an outdoor pool area that will include a poolside bar serving light bites and drinks.
Summary
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has just opened its first Andaz property in Qatar, becoming only its third in the Middle East. While Doha hasn’t been high on my list of places to visit, aside from connecting, I have had great experiences with the Andaz brand and would consider this property should my travels take me to the city.
