American Upgrades In-Flight Food and Beverage Selections: Adds Non-Alcoholic Beer and More

American Airlines in ringing in 2026 with a revamp of its food and beverage offerings. The Fort Worth based carrier has already announced that it will serve barbecue on select flights between Dallas and New York and now we have a more robust idea of what to expect on board.

American Airlines Adds Non-Alcoholic Beer Onboard

Beginning February 1, 2026 (I’m not why the carrier decided to wait until after Dry January to roll this out), American Airlines will serve Athletic Brewing Company’s Free Wave Hazy IPA onboard. This marks American’s first inflight non-alcoholic beer option. This is one I’m especially excited about as I’m a big fan of Athletic’s products and currently have a few Free Wave IPAs stashed away in my fridge.

Athletic’s non-alcoholic brews are currently available in American Airlines’ Flagship Lounges and Admirals Clubs.

In addition to the new non-alcoholic option, American is also adding Q Margarita Mix, Q Tonic Water, and Q Club Soda to its lineup along with Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix. These popular mixers will be added alongside two new LaCroix Sparkling Water flavors, Lime and Berry.

American Enhances Buy on Board and International Meals for Main Cabin and Premium Economy Passengers

Also beginning February 1, American is adding new buy on board items for Main Cabin customers. This includes a chicken salad and Boursin cheese wrap, served with coleslaw and a lemon shortbread cookie. Passengers can purchase this new offering on mainline routes for $13 or for 1,300 AAdvantage miles.
