Alaska Airlines has just unveiled its newest special livery in partnership with Disneyland Resort.

Alaska Airlines unveiled the new livery in Portland earlier today before the plane entered revenue service on a flight to Santa Ana. The Boeing 737-800, registration N596AS, is adorned with a fresh paint job promoting the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction at Disneyland Park.
With the introduction of this livery, Alaska Airlines has nine Disneyland themed aircraft, though this is the first one to feature a Disney princess. The aircraft, nicknamed Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer, joins Mickey’s Toontown Express, Star Wars Transport to the Disneyland Resort,” and Friendship and Beyond at Disneyland Resort, among others.

According to the airline, the intricate design took more than 2,000 to create and features many characters from The Princess and the Frog. Being from Louisiana, Louis the Alligator has to be my favorite part of the scheme.

Eric Edge, Vice President of Brand and Marketing at Alaska Airlines, had this to say about the new livery:
“Every journey should be as magical as the destination, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer brings that wonder to the skies in a way that perfectly complements our commitment to creating remarkable journeys. This aircraft captures Princess Tiana’s love for exploration and adventure, inspiring our guests to embrace new possibilities and create memories along the way.”
The airplane will fly throughout the Alaska Airlines network over the next few years. If you’re able to catch the aircraft during your travels this summer, Alaska Airlines is offering a special Tiana’s Bayou Adventure snack pack for purchase while supplies last.

Sybil Crum, Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Strategy at Disneyland Resort, said this about the continued partnership between the two companies:
For more than 25 years, Alaska Airlines and Disneyland Resort have collaborated to bring magic and happiness to the skies. As Disneyland Resort prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary, this latest addition honors our legacy and looks ahead to a bright future with Princess Tiana leading the way.”
The 70th anniversary celebrations for Disneyland Resort will kick off on May 16, 2025 and run through the summer of 2026.
Though I’ve never seen the movie this plane is based on, it’s one cool looking and eye catching scheme. I know plane spotters will be eager to catch this one out in the wild.
