Alaska Airlines is Offering a Fast Track to Elite Status for Employees of Select Companies

One of the things that I love the most about being part of BoardingArea is the amount of collective knowledge my fellow bloggers have. In addition to doing my own research and reviews, I occasionally come across a post from one of my fellow bloggers that gives me some great information. Today was one of those days as Frequent Flyer Bonuses has identified a fast track to elite status with Alaska Airlines for employees of almost thirty different companies.

According to Alaska, elite status holders in its Mileage Plan loyalty program gets you two free checked bags for you and companions on the same reservation, priority boarding, complimentary upgrades when available, bonus miles on base miles earned, access to preferred seating, dedicated customer service phone lines and much more.

Alaska elite status also gets you perks when flying internationally, including access to American Airlines Flagship Lounges when traveling internationally for OneWorld Sapphire members and higher.

In order to complete the fast track, employees of eligible companies will need to do the following:

  • Sign up by December 31, 2025. Be sure to use your company mail address as Alaska will need to verify your employment.
  • Check your inbox for a confirmation email and click the link provided to complete your registration. Then, you’ll be upgraded to a trial MVP status that is valid for 180 days.
  • Fly with Alaska during those 180 days to earn a higher level of elite status. The more you fly, the higher level status you earn:

While Alaska Airlines elite status won’t get you access to American Airlines Admirals Clubs or Flagship Lounges on domestic itineraries, this could be a good opportunity for West Coast travelers looking to re-allocate their earnings from British Airways after the most recent changes.

My company isn’t eligible for the fast track status promotion but Mrs. ATX’s is. She’s not as crazy as me and, being based in Austin, I don’t see her doing 4x 3+ hour roundtrips to the west coast to earn any meaningful status. In fact, while writing this post I asked her and she politely told me “not no, but hell no.”

However, if you find yourself in a position that this may work for you, check out the links below to access the challenge for employees of the following companies:

Summary

Alaska Airlines is offering an opportunity to fast track elite status for employees of almost thirty different companies. This status challenge might not make sense for everyone but, if you’re on the west coast and have access to some easy, cheap Alaska Airlines flights, this may be worth your while.
