Earlier this week, Air France unveiled its newly revamped lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport’s (CDG) Terminal 2E, Hall K, offering passengers an enhanced experience in luxury and comfort.

Now spanning three levels, the lounge now covers over 30,000 square feet. The new third floor features almost 10,000 square feet of space and has 200 additional seats. This major redesign aims to elevate the travel experience for Air France Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, as well as eligible passengers from KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines traveling on long-haul and select medium-haul (excluding Schengen) flights.
Open daily from 5:30a to 11:30p, the lounge now accommodates 638 passengers and provides a variety of spaces for relaxation, dining, and work. Access to the lounge will be managed by eligibility kiosks, where guests just need to scan their boarding pass to be allowed entry.
More Space and Comfort in the Redesigned Air France Lounge
In keeping with the company’s brand image, the lounge interior incorporates shades of blue, white, and touches of red. The layout also includes thoughtfully selected furniture, some of which has been reconditioned in an eco-friendly manner. The lounge was designed in partnership between Air France and SGK Brandimage.
Upon entering the lounge, passengers are welcomed by the airline’s signature fragrance, AF001, created by French perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. According to the airline, the scent features notes of jasmine, rose, and mimosa from the south of France, and offers a soothing and luxurious experience that transports travelers to a moment of relaxation before their flights.
Among the new features, the lounge now includes a dedicated “petit salon” on the upper floor. This private area offers comfortable seating for relaxation or reading in a tranquil, elegant setting and features a variety of seating options.

Adjacent to this space is a work area designed for productivity, with individual seating, a co-working space, and a meeting room, allowing passengers to attend online meetings or get work done in a quiet, connected environment. It also helps keep the remainder of the lounge free from people yapping away on Zoom calls prior to their flights.
For Air France’s most loyal passengers, a private area has been created exclusively for Flying Blue Ultimate customers. This space, with unobstructed views of the airport runways, a major plus for avgeeks, ensures comfort, confidentiality, and a high level of service. This space also has a restaurant-style catering service to provide meals prior to boarding.
Upgraded Dining and Amenities
The new lounge wouldn’t be complete without a focus on the culinary experience. Various stations are situated throughout the lounge’s three levels with rotating selection of hot and cold dishes, including seasonal and vegetarian options. These offerings will change based on the time of day.
This month’s menu offerings include beef cheek piperade, fish fillet with lemon sauce, and dishes by Ducasse Paris, such as a signature salad, veggie “Burgal,” and a mango-passion fruit dessert. The dining options focus on local and seasonal ingredients, with an emphasis on sustainability, limiting food waste, and using eco-friendly practices.

In addition to the food and beverage offerings, the lounge features Air France’s signature Clarins beauty treatment area which provides passengers with complimentary facial treatments like “Revitalizing Youth Booster” and “Healthy Glow,” ensuring travelers leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
My Thoughts on the New Lounge
Despite flying Air France via CDG on multiple occasions, I still haven’t had the chance to check out any of the carrier’s lounges at the airport. I was scheduled to visit earlier this week, right as this lounge opened, but my flight to Paris was cancelled.
Based on the photos the lounge seems bright and airy, despite a lack of many windows in the space. Since I’ve only visited outstation Air France lounges, I can’t compare this to other lounges at Charles de Gaulle Airport but, I hope I have the chance to experience the new lounge soon!
