Aer Lingus Adding Three New Routes This Winter

Aer Lingus, the Irish flag carrier, is adding three new routes for travelers looking to getaway to somewhere warm this winter. In addition to the new routes, the airline is also beefing up frequencies on many other European routes, making winter getaways easier.

New Destinations

Aer Lingus’ three new routes all have one thing in common, sunshine. The carrier will fly 3x weekly between Dublin Airport (DUB) and the following destinations:

  • Marrakesh, Morocco (RAK)
  • Seville, Spain (SVQ)
  • Valletta, Malta (MLA)

All flights will operate using Airbus A320 family aircraft and are currently on sale at AerLingus.com. Introductory fares are available for as low as €49.99.

Route Upgrades

In addition to the three new routes listed above, the airline is upgrading frequencies on many existing routes. Some of these upgraded routes will be moving to year round service, including:

  • Faro, Portugal (FAO): 4x weekly
  • Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain (ACE): 2x daily
  • Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain (TFS): 8x weekly

Seven other routes will also see an increase in frequencies, though they will remain seasonal:

  • Izmir, Turkey (ADB): 2x weekly until the end of December 2024.
  • Alicante, Spain (ALC): 4x weekly through November, restarting in early March 2025.
  • Athens, Greece (ATH): 2x weekly week through December, restarting in March.
  • Dubrovnik, Croatia (DBV): 2x weekly until late November, restarting in early March 2025.
  • Nice, France (NCE): 4x weekly until late November, restarting in early March 2025.
  • Palma de Mallorca, Spain (PMI): 3x weekly until late November, restarting in early March 2025.
  • Bordeaux (BOD): 5x weekly (one additional flight added.
