Aeroplan, Air Canada’s loyalty program, is celebrating its 40th Birthday with days of giveaways and member offers. The Aeroplan-niversary celebration as it has been dubbed is giving all 8+ million Aeroplan members the opportunity to win one of 40 prizes of a million Aeroplan points each. The celebration is running between now and July 17th.
In addition to the 40 lucky winners that will receive a million Aeroplan points, Aeroplan has released the following offers for members:
- 20% back in points when redeeming 20,000 points or more on hotel stays, car rentals, gift cards and merchandise
- 40% bonus points on eligible flights and vacation packages
- 40 extra bonus points for every eligible Uber ride and eligible Uber Eats transaction
- 40 points for every 30L of gas in a single fill up at Parkland’s participating Ultramar, Chevron, Pioneer and Fas Gas stations, or for every eligible spent of $10 in a single transaction at participating On the Run or Marché Express locations
- Earn 10X points on eligible Aeroplan eStore purchases from top retailers like Dyson, Gap, Lululemon, Sephora and Wayfair
While the odds aren’t great, I’d certainly love a million Aeroplan points as the partner redemption options are great. Aeroplan partners with an extremely diverse group of carriers giving passengers tons of options for redemptions.
You can get some great business class deals to Europe via partner airlines for 70k Aeroplan miles plus some minimal taxes and fees. I used them earlier this year to book a SWISS Business Class flight from New York to Zurich with an onward connection to Prague.
