Public charter air carrier JSX has partnered with Petco to enhance the air travel experience for families that travel with their furry friends aboard JSX flights.

JSX Upgrades Pet Amenities Across Its Network
In partnership with Petco, JSX has unveiled new pet amenities including inflight treats, travel essentials and co-branded swag. The Dallas based carrier is offering the following products onboard flights across its network:
- Limited-edition pet swag including branded JSX x Petco bandanas (from February 2026).
- Curated lounge treats, such as travel-themed frosted cookies, to help keep pups engaged while waiting for flights (from February 2026).
- Pet travel essentials, including carriers and leashes from Petco’s owned brands, available for loan to JSX Customers (from February 2026).
- Customized inflight snack for dogs and cats from Petco’s owned brand, WholeHearted (from April 2026).
- Access to Petco content and resources to help prepare pets for seamless air travel.

In honor of the partnership, JSX will paint two aircraft with Petco branding. Petco sponsored pet relief stations will also appear throughout the network in spring 2026. In announcing the partnership Michael Romanko, Chief Customer and Product Officer at Petco, said this:
“Pets experience the world through us, and when we bring them along on our adventures we turn every trip into an opportunity to make their world bigger, better and more connected to ours. This partnership goes beyond convenience — it’s about inclusion, and giving pet families across the country even more ways to bond and have fun with the pets they love most.”
JSX Chief Commercial Officer, David Drabinsky, added:
“JSX has long believed that pets are family, and this partnership allows us to meaningfully extend that belief across every step of the travel journey. By joining forces with a beloved brand such as Petco, we’re creating an elevated and intuitive experience for pets and their humans that ensures comfort, connection, and joy from curb to cabin.”
JSX Pet Policy
JSX has a fairly liberal policy when it comes to pets onboard. The company states that
“All pets must be well-behaved, non-aggressive, and properly groomed with good hygiene. They must not pose a threat to or cause discomfort for airport personnel, crew, or other customers or animals. A maximum of five pets may travel in cabin on any flight (please note that trained service animals are excluded from this restriction). JSX reserves the right to deny boarding to any additional pets, or to any pets that do not meet the requirements stated here.”
Cats and small dogs (weighing under 30lbs) can travel in the cabin for $100 per pet one way (JSX allows one pet per customer). Passengers traveling with larger dogs, between 31 and 80 pounds, are required to purchase an adjacent seat for the animal. Dogs are not allowed on airplane seats. The company’s full pet policy can be found here.

Summary
Traveling with your pet is becoming increasingly popular and, as people continue to abuse the service animal exemptions, JSX is working to make things easier for travelers looking to bring their pets along on the journey. The carrier’s partnership with Petco is the latest evolution of its pet friendly policy which allows up to five animals on its 30 seat aircraft.
