Hilton is Planning a New Invitation Only Elite Status

Earlier this year, Hilton announced significant changes to its Honors loyalty program. This included the introduction of a new published status tier known as Diamond Reserve. Now, it appears that a new, invitation only, tier is coming to the Hilton Honors program.

Hilton Honors is Adding a New, Invite Only, Elite Tier in 2026

Beginning in 2026, Hilton will be introducing a new, invite only, loyalty tier known as The Honors Society. The news, which was first reported by LoyaltyLobby, acknowledges that the new tier is coming, but no information has been provided at this time.

Hilton is introducing a new, invite only, loyalty program tier known as The Honors Society.

While being invite only, it is also expected that this will be an unpublished loyalty tier, and qualifications for it won’t be published. This status tier will likely be reserved for Fortune 500 executives, special friends of Hilton, and other highly influential people that the company wants to keep happy.

The Honors Society will likely mimic the invite only programs for Hyatt and Marriott; known as Hyatt Courtesy Card and Marriott Cobalt. Officially, on paper, these programs don’t exist and, unless Jamie Dimon is a reader of ATX Jetsetter, this new status tier won’t affect any of the readers on this site.

My Thoughts

The introduction of a new invite only status from Hilton doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as its primary competitors offer similar programs to the VVIPs in its client base. However, the recent changes highlight that Hilton is finally adjusting its loyalty program to fit in with the current hotel loyalty landscape.

With the addition of The Honors Society tier, Hilton will finally join Marriott and Hyatt when it comes to having an unpublished, uber elite, status tier. This won’t affect the day to day experience of existing Hilton Honors elites, have any Marriott or Hyatt loyalists noticed a difference, it will certainly make those VVIP guests want to forge a closer relationship with the brand.

Marriott and Hyatt also offer unpublished, invite only status.

Summary

Hilton is planning to add a new, invite only, tier to its Hilton Honors loyalty program. While very little is known at this point, and it will likely stay that way, you can expect that this status will only be held by an extremely small number of people. This will likely include Fortune 500 executives, friends of the company, and guests that spend an excessive amount of money with the chain each year.
