Delta Air Lines is growing in Austin once again. The Atlanta based carrier has added its 30th destination from the Central Texas airport with the introduction of new service to Miami.
Delta Will Start Flying Between Austin and Miami
Delta has been growing in Austin like a weed in recent years. The Atlanta based carrier designated Austin as a focus city pre-pandemic and, after a short pause during Covid, the carrier has been ramping up in recent years.
SkyWest, one of Delta’s regional partners, opened a crew base in Austin last year and now the airline is preparing to open a flight attendant base in the Texas capital.

Earlier this week, the airline announced it would begin flying between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Miami International Airport (MIA), going head to head with American Airlines and Southwest Airlines on the route.
Beginning November 22, 2025, Delta will launch daily service between Austin and Miami utilizing Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Flights will operate on the following schedule:
Flight | Departs | Arrives |
---|---|---|
DL 2507 (AUS-MIA) | 9:00a | 12:41p |
DL 2344 (MIA-AUS) | 7:15p | 9:34p |
Paul Baldoni, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, said this about the new service:
“With these new routes and expanded service, Delta is building on a strong foundation in Austin and creating more ways for our customers to get where they want to go. It’s another step in delivering the network, convenience and premium experience that sets Delta apart as Austin’s leading global carrier.”
Ghizlane Badawi, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport CEO, added:
“This is another exciting investment in our community from Delta. We are so grateful for their partnership and shared mission of connecting Austin and Central Texas travelers to more nonstop destinations. We look forward to the continued collaboration with the airline, especially as we make progress on expanding and improving our airport.”
With the announcement of Miami service, Delta will serve thirty routes from Austin. The airline has surged to second place in terms of destinations and passenger traffic this year, trailing only Southwest. As Austin is preparing to expand its airport over the next few years, you can be certain that Delta is trying to gain as much gate space as it can.
Summary
Delta Air Lines will launch service between Austin and Miami as of November 22, 2025. The carrier will go up against American and Southwest on the route as it works to build out a hub operation in the Texas capital.
