JetBlue is once again expanding its network of leisure routes from its focus cities in Boston and New York as the carrier works to transform itself into a more leisure oriented airline. The New York based carrier is adding new routes to existing destinations as well as expanding into new airports in Florida.
JetBlue Adds New Destinations in Florida
In December, JetBlue is launching flights to Vero Beach, Florida (VRB) for the first time and is bringing back service to Daytona Beach, FL (DAB). Both destinations will have daily, year-round, flights to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships, said this about the new destinations:
“Florida continues to be a place JetBlue’s unique combination of low fares and great service resonates, and we’re proud to grow our footprint with these new destinations to meet customer demand for more of the Sunshine State. Whether it’s customers in the Northeast looking for a warm getaway or Floridians traveling north, we’re excited to bring more choices and better service to these markets.”
In addition to the two new destinations, JetBlue is expanding Florida flying with four new routes. In December, JetBlue will launch service from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) to Tampa (TPA) and Fort Myers (RSW) bringing its total number of destinations from the airport to five.

The airline is also adding service from Florida to the Dominican Republic, with new routes from Tampa to Punta Cana (PUJ) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Santiago de los Caballeros (STI).
