Marriott and United Airlines are have launched a promotion to encourage travel this summer for elite members of the Marriott Bonvoy and United MileagePlus loyalty programs.
Marriott and United Are Giving Elites More Options to Earn Points
While we’ve seen promotions like this in the past, the ability to double up on earnings is still worth taking advantage of. Registration for the promotion opened on July 1, 2025 and will close on August 31, 2025. Flights (trips) and hotel stays that begin between July 1 and August 31, 2025 are eligible for the promotion.
This promotion is available United Mileage Plus Premier 1K, Platinum, and Gold members along with Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador and Titanium members. After registering, members of the programs will earn 750 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points for qualifying United Flights and 500 MileagePlus miles for eligible stays at Marriott Bonvoy properties.

In addition to the date criteria listed above, there are a few more conditions that need to be met in order to qualify for this promotion. These include:
- Revenue travel only applies as part of this promotion. Rooms and flights booked on points won’t work;
- Rewards are counted per stay (not per night) and per itinerary (not per flight);
- There is no limit to the number of points that can be earned nut, based on the timing for the promotion, there is a finite amount that can be earned.
Members who are eligible for the promotion can register via the United or Marriott websites and are only eligible for a single dual earnings campaign per year. While this isn’t a promotion worth getting excited over, if you’re a qualifying elite member, registration is likely worth your time even if you only earn a few points along the way.

Summary
United Airlines and Marriott International have partnered to offer elite members of its MileagePlus and Bonvoy elite tiers an opportunity to double dip on rewards. While I wouldn’t go out of my way for these, it’s a great way to earn dome extra points for Bonvoy and MileagePlus members.
