Starting tomorrow, April 19th, Delta Sky Club customers will have a third option when traveling through Minneapolis/St. Paul International (MSP). The airline’s third Club will be more than 21,000 square feet and provide some much needed capacity at their MSP hub.
The club will be located in the recently expanded Concourse G, near gates G18-22. The club is described by Delta as a “stunning new nature-inspired oasis” and marks the third new Midwest Sky Club opening in the last six months, following new clubs in Kansas City and Chicago-O’Hare.
The lounge will feature seating for over 450 guests and will also include a year-round, all-weather Sky Deck with seating for 110 guests. Sky Decks are one of my favorite features of the Delta Sky Club experience but I’m interested to see just how “year round” they are when temperatures are in the single digits or negatives. The Sky Deck will have a living plant wall that will be refreshed with seasonal plants three times annually, I am going to assume that it’ll just be ice in the winter months.
The décor of the club is inspired by Minnesota’s designation as the land of 10,000 lakes and Delta describes the design elements as featuring “a rich color palette evoking summer sunsets at the lake – earth tones like sage greens paired with warm copper and amber hues.”
The Concourse G Sky Club is also expected to feature two full service, premium bars as well as a full buffet and one of my favorite features, three soundproof booths for quiet work and phone calls. The lounge will also feature a rotation of fresh, locally sourced menu items from MSP native Chef Justin Sutherland as part of the Sky Club’s Local Flavor program.
The new Sky Club at MSP’s Concourse G is part of a larger investment that the airline is making in MSP. The club is opening in conjunction with terminal upgrades that will mirror the improvements seen at Delta terminals at LAX, LGA, ORD and SLC.

Summary
Delta’s third Sky Club at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) is by far the largest at Delta’s Minneapolis hub, with seating for more than 450, a first-of-its-kind Sky Deck and more. As someone who has to travel through MSP semi-frequently, I look forward to seeing this lounge for myself in the near future.
