JetBlue has teamed up with Barclays Bank to launch its first premium, travel focused, credit card, the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard. The new card will have a variety of travel perks for JetBlue customers and comes with a $499 annual fee.
Applications for the new card are now open and have a limited time offer. New cardholders can recieve 70,000 TrueBlue points and 5 tiles toward Mosaic qualification after spending $5,000 in the first three months. This will give cardholders a head start on Mosaic status and unlock perks like EvenMore seating upgrades.
The JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard is the fourth card in the airline’s cobranded portfolio with Barclays, joining the JetBlue Card, JetBlue Plus Card and JetBlue Business Card. Chris Buckner, JetBlue’s Vice President of Loyalty and Partnerships, said this about the new card:
“Adding products and perks our customers want is a key part of our JetForward plan, and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce the JetBlue Premier Card. As our first-ever premium credit card, designed with input from our customers and most loyal Mosaic members, it builds on the perks of our TrueBlue and Mosaic programs to deliver more benefits both on the ground and in the air. With features crafted to compete with other top-tier travel cards, the Premier Card gives JetBlue fans more reasons to love our award-winning experience, while earning extra points and enjoying exclusive benefits before takeoff.”
Tim Mills, Head of the JetBlue Partnership at Barclays US Consumer Bank, added:
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of the new JetBlue Premier Card, marking a significant milestone in our successful decade-long partnership with JetBlue. With this new card, we are excited to meet the growing demand for premium benefits and experiences, continuing our commitment to deliver exceptional value and service to JetBlue’s loyal customers.”
JetBlue Premier Card Benefits
The JetBlue Premier Card has an annual fee of $499 (and $150 for each authorized user) and includes a variety of travel benefits. Some of them are more beneficial than others. The card touts the following perks:
- JetBlue Lounge Access: Cardholders and a guest will receive complimentary JetBlue Lounge access when flying with the airline. While there aren’t any JetBlue lounges open currently, the airline has announced lounges are coming to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5 in late 2025 and Boston Logan International Airport’s (BOS) Terminal C soon after.
- Priority Pass Lounge Access: Access to more than 1,500 lounges, Minute Suites, Be Relax Spas and more in over 600 airports in more than 145 countries for the cardholder and one guest.
- Paisly Statement Credits : $300 in annual statement credits for Paisly travel purchases, with a $50 credit for each qualifying transaction of $250 or more (up to six transactions per calendar year).
- Global Entry & TSA PreCheck: Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee statement credit up to $120 every four years.
- Group A Boarding: Enjoy priority boarding on JetBlue-operated flights for all cardmembers and up to four eligible travel companions.
- First Checked Bag Free: Cardholders and up to three companions on the same reservation will receive one free checked bag when JetBlue-operated flights are purchased with the JetBlue Premier Card.
- Anniversary Bonus: Receive 5,000 bonus points each year after your account anniversary and payment of the annual fee.
- Points Redemption Bonus: Get 10% of redeemed points back after traveling on a JetBlue-operated Award Flight.
- Points Payback: Redeem points for a statement credit on purchases of $25 or more.
- In-Flight Discounts: Save 50% on eligible food and drink purchases aboard JetBlue-operated flights.
In addition to the perks outlined above, the card also comes with no foreign transaction fees.
JetBlue Premier Card Earnings
In addition to the perks outlined above, cardholders can earn TrueBlue points and Mosaic tiles via spend on the card. Points are earned in the following tiers:
- 6x points per $1 spent on eligible JetBlue and Paisly purchases including JetBlue Vacations
- 2x points per $1 spent at restaurants and eligible grocery stores
- 1x points per $1 spent on all other purchases
While cardmembers have multipliers on points based on the spending category, Mosaic tiles are earned based on dollar spend alone. Cardholders earn 1 tile for every $1,000 in eligible spend on their JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard.
JetBlue Premier Card Value Proposition
JetBlue is the latest airline to add in a premium, co-branded, credit card with lounge access. While JetBlue doesn’t operate its own lounges yet, two of them are in the works. However, it is unlikely given its model that the airline will have many more lounges that open in the coming years.
The major perks here are the access to Priority Pass lounges, upgraded boarding, and a free checked bag. The annual fee is steep at $499 when you consider the carrier’s lounge footprint but, it still comes in lower than other co-branded airline credit cards with lounge access.
Personally, I believe this card will appeal to JetBlue loyalists and those looking to keep their Mosaic status since it can be earned via spend. For a carrier looking to shift towards a leisure and VFR model, I’m not sure how popular this card will be amongst consumers.

Summary
JetBlue has partnered with Barclays to issue its first premium credit card, the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard. The card has a $499 annual fee and provides access to Priority Pass lounges along with other perks. It will also allow access to JetBlue lounges in New York and Boston when those open later this year.
While I’m not sure how popular this card will be, I’m sure it makes sense for some JetBlue frequent flyers.

Nah…it is a terrible proposition, even for JetBlue fans.
All of the benefits other than the lounges can be had with the $99 card. And even the free card allows earning towards Mosaic via spend now. This is a very expensive way to buy PriorityPass Select plus two more lounges.
I can see the value if you’re JFK/BOS based potentially once those lounges open. I wouldn’t be signing up for the card, even as a JetBlue frequent flyer, until there is more info on the lounges. If you’re traveling through there often it could make sense but I see this living in a niche role for sure.
DOA! Most of the benefits, we already get them with their $95 personal and business cards, including the 5,000 bonus. The card I am really looking forward to is the new Alaska premium card. This is a hard pass.
