Marriott International has announced the return of one of my favorite promotions of the year. Marriott Bonvoy members can fast-track their status and earn bonus points and elite night credits simply by registering for this promotion.
Registered Marriott Bonvoy members can earn 1,000 bonus points and one bonus Elite Night Credit for each eligible paid night stayed during the promotion, which runs from February 11 to April 28, 2025. Registration is now open and runs through April 14, 2025.
Essentially, this promotion will allow members to earn status twice as fast during the promotion period and is a return of the popular promotion that we’ve seen in years past. This promotion has become a staple of sorts after the Covid-19 pandemic as business travel is still depressed compared to pre-Covid levels.
Personally, I’m excited to see this promotion return as I lost my Marriott Bonvoy Platinum status for the first time in 2025 and, with only a couple of years until lifetime Platinum, I’m eager to earn it back.
Marriott has a few requirements to earn bonus points and nights as part of this promotion, though they are fairly straightforward:
- Register for the promotion between now and April 14, the promotion earning period runs from February 11 to April 28, 2025.
- Stays completed prior to registration are not eligible to earn with this promotion.
- A hotel must participate in Marriott Bonvoy at the time of the stay to qualify.
- Members must book stays directly with Marriott on Marriott.com, in the Marriott Bonvoy Mobile app or through a reservation. Rates available through most third-party online retailers and select travel agency rates do not qualify for this promotion.
- Select properties are excluded from the promotion, these include: BVLGARI, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Marriott Executive Apartments, and owner-occupied weeks at Marriott Vacation Club, Grand Residences by Marriott, Marriott Grand Residence Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, Westin Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Club, The St. Regis Residence Club, and The Luxury Collection Residence Club
The requirements seem very reasonable to me and, if you’re looking to maximize your benefits its best to book directly with Marriott anyway. This is a promotion I’ll definitely be looking to maximize as I have quite a bit of travel planned for the first part of the year.
