2025 keeps rolling along for Delta Air Lines as the carrier celebrates its 100th anniversary. Today the airline unveiled plans for its lounge expansions, upgrades, and openings for 2025.
2024 was big year for Delta in the lounge space. The airline opened new, premium focused Delta One Lounges at New York-JFK, Los Angeles (LAX) and Boston (BOS). In addition to the three premium lounges, Delta opened a new Sky Club at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) and expansions clubs at Miami (MIA) and New York-LGA.
While 2025 isn’t expected to be as big, Delta is planning to open additional Delta One Lounges, refresh clubs at the carrier’s hometown hub in Atlanta, and expand an existing club while opening three new ones across its network.
Delta Lounge Expansions, Openings and Upgrades
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
As Atlanta’s hometown airline, Delta is finally opening a new Sky Club at the worlds business airport. This will be the first new Sky Club at the airport since 2016. The new lounge is part of the Concourse D renovation and will span 23,000 square feet. This will make it the second largest Sky Club at the airport.
In addition to the new Club on Concourse D, the Sky Clubs in Concourses A and C will receive upgrades designed to elevate the guest experience.
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
Delta is planning to expand its premium focused Delta One Lounge experience to the Pacific Northwest with the opening of Seattle-Tacoma International’s Delta One Lounge this summer. The nearly 11,000-square-foot space will feature an open-air terrace with stunning views of Mt. Rainier.
Seattle’s Delta One Lounge will be located on the upper level of the upcoming, second, Delta Sky Clun opening at the airport. The new club is located near Gate 11 on Concourse A and will span roughly 14,000 square feet. This will provide much needed lounge capacity at one of the airline’s rapidly growing hubs.
Salt Lake City (SLC) and Philadelphia (PHL)
After opening a new terminal at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) in 2020, additional expansion means that a new Sky Club is coming to Concourse B. This will join the Concourse A Sky Club which opened in 2020. The new club is expected to open in Q4 2025 and, at nearly 34,000 square feet, will be one of the largest Sky Clubs in the network.
While most of the lounge upgrades and openings coming in 2025 are focused on hub airports, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), an American Airlines hub, is getting some love as well. The airline plans to expand the Delta Sky Club near the Terminal D/E connector by more than 2,000 square feet.
Summary
While not approaching the same scale of expansions and openings that occurred in 2024, Delta has announced its plans for lounge openings, improvements, and expansions for 2025. With the crowding of recent years hopefully curtailed by new entrance requirements, and the addition of new lounges to the network, I’m hopeful that Sky Clubs and Delta One Lounges are more relaxing in 2025.
